Experiential Facilitator

As an Experiential Facilitator, you must be able to demonstrate some of the following in an onsite test with a group: Experiential warmups, basic sociometry, Psychodramatic structures such as future projections, concretization of resources and obstacles, role reversal, doubling, basic concepts of warm up, action, and sharing.

Criteria for Experiential Facilitator

EDUCATION:
Bachelor degree in a mental health/counselling field or a Bachelor degree in an unrelated field and one course in basic counselling skills PLUS two (2) Years’ experience working in the field.

TRAINING: 300 hours of workshops in Psychodrama from trainers certified by ABE, BPA, AANZPA, PIM, Taiwan Psychodrama Board, or FEPTO affiliated Senior Trainers.
Please note that 50% of these trainings must be with their  Primary Trainer.

PROFESSIONAL PRACTICE:
Candidates must practice the skills (which they have learned from training workshops) in their areas of
expertise in individual or group therapy sessions. They are required to run a minimum of Forty (40) therapy sessions with Twenty (20) hours of supervision from their Primary Trainer. The supervision hours can be from a PAT or TEP certified by ABE, BPA, ANZPA, PIM, Taiwan Psychodrama Board, or FEPTO affiliated Senior Trainers approved of by their Primary Trainer.

Certified Experiential Therapist (CET)

As a Certified Experiential Therapist, candidates must be able to demonstrate some of the following in Practical and Written Exams:
Experiential warmups, use of Sociometry to build group cohesion, Psychodramatic structures such as future projections, concretization of resources and obstacles, role reversal, doubling, basic concepts of warm up, action, and sharing, Sociodrama.

Certified Experiential Therapist (CET)

EDUCATION:
Master’s degree in a Mental Health field (e.g. Social work, Counselling, Psychology)

TRAINING:
550 hours of workshops in Psychodrama from trainers certified by ABE, BPA, ANZPA, PIM, Taiwan Psychodrama Board, or FEPTO affiliated Senior Trainers.
Please note: 50% of these trainings must be with your Primary Trainer.

PROFESSIONAL PRACTICE:
Supervised practical hours – Sixty (60) sessions with Thirty (30) hours supervision to be completed within 36 months. Each supervised therapy session must be a minimum of one hour in duration.
50% of these sessions must be in group sessions.
Hours can be from a PAT or TEP certified by ABE, BPA, ANZPA, PIM, Taiwan Psychodrama Board, or FEPTO affiliated Senior Trainers approved of by their Primary Trainer.
Please note: Some of these hours can be accrued towards certification with the American Board of Examiners in Psychodrama.
