Asia Pacific Certification Board
The Asia Pacific Certification Board (APCB) is a multinational body providing the structural framework in credentialing mental health professionals from the Asia-Pacific region as having met ethical, knowledge and skills standards as Certified Substance Abuse and Mental Health Therapists.
APCB has been one of the key agencies to establish the standards for addiction treatment and mental health care in the region. The various certifications allowed therapists to work across national borders in the region because of its credibility.
APCB has set the professional standards which will lead to more innovation, research and sharing of best practices in the treatment and care of addictions and mental health issues.
Our experience in Singapore & Malaysia has also shown that credentialing has led to a higher level or respect for addiction and mental health therapists through competency based certification programmes which ultimately reduces the stigma associated with these issues.
To establish and promote standards of care among addiction and mental health professionals in the Asia-Pacific region, so that people may receive optimum care in their recovery.
